Tanzania Fundraising

I am currently fundraising for Raleigh International, which is a sustainable development charity here in the UK. It operates currently in Tanzania, Borneo and Costa Rica & Nicaragua and seeks to challenge and empower young people and communities to deliver grassroots sustainable development. The work with rural communities focuses on access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments and building community resilience.

In early June 2016 I will be heading off to Tanzania to be a voluntary Manager with Raleigh International. I will be going as an Adventure Project Manager, which means I will be helping the Venturers on their 19 day treks through some amazing Tanzanian countryside.

Everyone taking part in the 3-month expeditions are volunteers and each have their own individual fund raising targets to meet. In addition to this all participants need to finance their own flights, vaccinations etc.

As an Adventure Project Manager my fundraising target is slightly lower, but anything in excess of my target will be used to support the important work abroad and enable less fortunate and in-country residents to participate.
